In the 25 years that people followed the Oregon Trail to seek out their own paradise despite the fear of the unknown and the threat of Indian attack, they packed up their belongings and ventured out. Sadly, more than 65,000 people died along the way, making that one grave after another across the over 2,000 miles. The Oregon Trail is sometimes referred to as the Longest Graveyard in America.
