Carnton Plantation in Franklin, TN
1345 Eastern Flank Circle, Franklin, Tennessee Tour the home and grounds Monday through Saturday: it is also available for weddings and events. One of the bloodiest battles of the Civil War took place less than a mile from Carnton Plantation in Franklin, TN, on November 30, 1864. Carnton’s proximity made it the perfect spot to serve as a field hospital. More than 1,750 Confederates lost their lives at Franklin The ghosts of many that lost their lives on that battlefield still reside at the Plantation house today and are not shy about saying "hello". (Zoom in on the night photos and see the General sitting on the porch. One shows a woman standing (partially covered by the column) Could this be Carrie, herself?) *I did not capture these photos. #bagofbonespodcast #elizabethbourgeret To get in touch with Elizabeth: www.elizabethbourgeret.com/contact Join the History Revisited Facebook Group!
